I collect all the suggestions and will implement them one after another if they make sense for most people.
|Subject||Answer||Typ||Status||Could you make End-of-game message window a bit smaller and/or transparent, or maybe temporarily shrink or hide it?
It is hard, when playing many games quickly, to recall which match is which, and to comment appropriately. Would help to see more of the final board position and scores, but they are totally obscured, as in attached pic. Other message windows are much smaller, which is generally better.
|This "end match chat" is one of the most complicated things in the whole project. Unfortunately, the server provides completely different information than for all other game moves and situations. when the server displays this "end match chat", there is also no information about the match you just played. Play a match on the website until the end and you will see what i mean. the tests are also very complex, because you have to finish a match to test the implementation in the app. i hate the current implementation itself. it doesn't work properly either. for sure i will tackle this as one of the next issues||Feature||Open|
|Would be great to have iOS notifications when it's my turn to move/invited to a new game in the future if possible.||To do this, the app must continuously connect to the dailygammon server at all times and check if there is a match to play. This costs data volume and battery. In addition, apple does not display the badge (the red number on the app icon) 100% correctly. It is an interesting issue for the developer. Maybe that's why I'll tackle it in the near future.||Feature||Open|
|Could you implement a chat history? Something like WhatsApp? Where then automatically always my conversations from games and messages with a player are stored.||this is technically possible, but time-consuming. If the feature is requested by several people, I will move it up on the list.||Feature||Open|
|It would be great if I could select text blocks or phrases in the chat window. This would speed up the game enormously and save typing the same standard phrases over and over again.||this is technically possible, but time-consuming. |The rating graphic is different on iPhone and iPad when working on both devices. Is it possible to merge them?||This is a bigger effort because I have to sync the data via iCloud. But from a developer’s point of view, it’s an interesting project. The two different graphics also bother me.||Feature||Done 1.3.3|
|The only thing I'm missing now is a Dark Mode. When I open DG in the evening, I am often blinded, so how can I find the right move?||That shouldn't be too difficult. The effort is also manageable. I will implement this for one of the next versions||Feature||Done 1.4|
|ability to zoom in on recent part of rating graph somehow. Many options for how.||The graphics library I use can't do that, unfortunately.
But I agree, other apps are much more comfortable with statistics graphics.
I now have to find a library that is a little more sophisticated. and the time required for training should not be underestimated.
An interesting project that I could also use in other apps.
|Just one ask: before the pop- up that allowed me to type a message after my last move was semi-transparent. Now it is solid. This looks better, cleaner, but now I can only see one of the dice of my opponent‘s last roll where I before could see both. The suspense is killing me. (Yesterday I made a move where I‘m fine unless opponent rolls 63 or 65. I saw the 6 of his roll. I didn‘t see the other one). Maybe you find a way to change this?||That shouldn't be too difficult. The effort is also manageable. I will implement this for one of the next versions||Feature||Done 1.4.1|
